From the beginning of Scripture, blood has carried a powerful testimony before God. Abel’s blood cried out from the ground demanding justice after innocent life was taken (Genesis 9:5). Yet the New Covenant reveals a greater voice, the blood of Jesus Christ. Unlike Abel’s blood that called for judgment, the blood of Jesus speaks redemption, mercy, and reconciliation for humanity (Hebrews 12:24). Throughout the Bible, covenants were sealed with blood, showing the seriousness and power of divine agreements (Exodus 24:8). In this teaching, Dr. Tich reveals how the blood of Jesus establishes the ultimate covenant of salvation and speaks on behalf of believers today.

In this episode of Torah Conversations, we explore the powerful Parshah Ki Tisa and its profound message about identity, repentance, and covenant renewal. The portion begins with the census of Israel and the half-shekel offering, reminding us that every soul is counted before God. It continues with the tragic story of the golden calf, Moses’ intercession for Israel, and the incredible moment when God renews His covenant with His people.

We also explore how this Torah portion connects with the prophetic promise of a renewed heart in Ezekiel 36 and the teaching of Paul in 2 Corinthians 3, where the glory of the covenant moves from tablets of stone to hearts transformed by the Spirit.

This episode reveals how God moves His people from counting people to restoring covenant, showing that even after failure, His mercy opens the door to renewal and transformation.

Practical Weekly Assignment

We always want to help you move from hearing to doing. So, let’s give you a simple but focused assignment that brings Mishpatim into your week.
Your Power Nugget for Segment 6 is a practical assignment.
Assignment Title: “Walking Out Mishpatim: Justice in My Sphere”
Step 1 – Personal Inventory (Private) – 20–30 minutes
• Sit with Exodus 21–23 and read slowly.
• Ask the Spirit: “Where in my life, family, work, or ministry am I out of alignment with Your justice, responsibility, or compassion?”
• Write down 2–3 areas that come to mind (for example: how I treat staff, how I respond to offense, how I handle money, how I treat the vulnerable).
Step 2 – Choose One Relationship or Situation
• From your list, choose one concrete relationship or situation where Mishpatim speaks directly (an employee, a family conflict, a business practice, a ministry relationship).
• Pray: “Yeshua, show me how to respond like You, not just react like the world.”
Step 3 – Plan a Mishpatim Action
• Decide on one specific action you will take this week, such as:
• Making restitution to someone you wronged.
• Adjusting a work schedule or pay arrangement to be more just.
• Reaching out to someone vulnerable with practical help.
• Choosing not to retaliate but to bless someone who offended you.
• Write it down with a time and date.
Step 4 – Reflect and Record
After you do it, take 10–15 minutes to journal:
• What did I do?
• How did it feel?
• What did I sense Yahweh doing in me through this?
• What might be my “next step” in walking out Mishpatim?
