Valentine’s Day tends to focus on romance.

But most people don’t struggle with love.
They struggle with nervous system safety.

We are not attracted to what is healthy.
We are attracted to what is familiar.

If chaos feels familiar, calm will feel boring.
If over-functioning feels familiar, peace will feel unsettling.
If earning love feels normal, ease will feel suspicious.

This is why we don’t just “work on relationships.”
We work on identity.
We work on regulation.
We work on capacity.

Because when your system is stable:

• You don’t chase intensity.
• You don’t confuse anxiety with chemistry.
• You don’t build relationships from depletion.

You choose from clarity.

And clarity changes everything.

Today isn’t just about who you love.
It’s about how safely you can receive love.

That is the real work.
