A gentle reminder for parents 🌿

Anxiety in teens doesn’t always look like “worry”.

Sometimes it looks like:
• Irritability or moodiness
• Withdrawing from family or friends
• Avoiding school or responsibilities
• Trouble sleeping
• Saying “I’m fine” when they’re clearly not

Often, they don’t have the words for what they’re feeling — they just know something feels overwhelming.

Early support can make such a difference 🤍

I thought I’d introduce myself — I’m Elzaan Vermeulen, a Registered Counsellor based in George.

I work mostly with adolescents, women, and individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, grief, trauma, identity struggles, and relationship challenges.

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, so my approach is gentle, supportive, and at your pace — creating a space where you can feel safe to talk and make sense of what you’re going through.
