Our new sign is up!!!
This is more than just a business name, it's a tribute to some of the legend people in our lives (from right to left):
who is not only a friend, but also a stellar bodyboarder and talented ocean photographer/videographer
The two brothers and - best friends for life!
who we've known since he was 16 years old. He is a phenomenal surfer and one of the most hardworking people we know
And last, but certainly not least, the olive branch (which is also seen in our logo) represents our parents. Without their support, love and motivation, we wouldn't have been the people that we are. We couldn't have asked for better.
We want to extend our thanks to everyone who's supported us through the years. It is very gratifying to watch something you put your heart and soul into, grow slowly but surely. We remain humble and determined.
Thank you 🙏

We have some secondhand boards available again!
We are selling these boards on behalf of clients, so unfortunately no returns.
Just a reminder that if you have any boards lying around, we will gladly market and sell on your behalf 😎

We would like to apologise for the sewage smell outside our shop at the moment.
Vehicles taking shortcuts over the sidewalk have now caused the cement block to stand upright and we are currently in an argument with the Municipality regarding whose responsibility the manhole cover is.
Until it's sorted out, please hold your breath and be careful of the gaping hole outside. 🥴🤢🫣

Génre van Zyl, affectionately known as G-Man, started out in 2008 when his brother Rehgert (known as Redds) started an NGO called Aleph in George, Western Cape.
Génre started surfing from a young age and his love for all things boards and ocean tweaked his curiosity so he started learning how to fix and shape boards with the help of Google & YouTube.
As time went by he realised that this is his passion in life and he started pursuing it full-time. He has worked with many great shapers such as Simon Fish (Fishstix), Greg Smith (Curved Air) and Emile Fourie (Emileon). He has travelled and trained extensively all the way from Cape Town to Jeffreys Bay.
He also perfected his glassing skills for four years under the masterful Matthew Campbell, aka Cam, who owns Moana Glasshouse in St Francis and has recently returned to his old stomping ground in the Garden Route. He now has a workshop in Herold’s Bay and will be doing regular pick-ups in George.
Génre has also launched a new short board, called African Spirit, under his flagship brand, Isaiah Surfboards. He has shaped boards for people from all over the world and loves giving each board some individual flair suited to his client’s personality.
The Ding Clinic is the repair side of the business and Génre specialises in repairs on epoxy and traditional fibreglass short and long boards.
