Unmasking doesn’t have to be loud, dramatic, or all at once.

Sometimes it looks like:
• leaving earlier
• replying when you have capacity
• saying “let me think about it”
• choosing rest over pushing through

Unmasking can be quieter.
Softer.
More internal.

This year doesn’t have to be about doing more.
It can be about doing less of what costs you.

You don’t owe anyone constant access, instant answers, or your discomfort.

One less mask is enough. 💛

What’s one thing you’re giving yourself permission to do less of this year?

Holiday behaviour isn’t misbehaviour.
It’s communication.
Sensory changes, social pressures, disrupted routines, and new environments all impact regulation.
Let’s normalise understanding over judgement.

for your neurodivergent child.

“No, we won’t be staying the whole time.”
“No, they need a break.”
“No, we’re choosing a low-demand holiday.”

Boundaries are support.
