This is your Monday reminder: Be Kind to Your Mind 🌿

Being kind to your mind isn’t a luxury - it’s a necessity. Just like your body needs rest and nourishment, your mind deserves compassion, patience, and care.

Start this week by choosing yourself.
✨ Speak to yourself with kindness
✨ Stay present - not stuck in the past or anxious about the future
✨ Set boundaries that protect your peace
✨ Accept yourself, flaws and all - growth doesn’t require perfection
✨ Move your body, rest deeply, and step outside when you can
✨ Take breaks - you don’t have to earn your rest
✨ Redefine success - every setback is part of your story, not the end of it

Remember: The way you talk to yourself matters.
Give yourself the same grace you give others.
💛 This week, protect your energy. Nurture your mind. Choose balance over burnout.

World TB Day is observed every year on 24 March to raise awareness about tuberculosis and the global efforts needed to eliminate this disease. The date marks the historic discovery made in 1882 by Dr. Robert Koch, who identified the bacterium that causes TB, opening the path to diagnosis and treatment.

The 2026 theme, “Yes, We Can End TB: Led by Countries, Powered by People,” highlights the importance of strong leadership, innovation, primary healthcare systems, and committed communities working together to end TB.

Key Facts About Tuberculosis (TB):
• TB is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis
• It most commonly affects the lungs, but can spread to other parts of the body
• TB spreads through the air when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks
• It is preventable and treatable, especially when detected early
• The BCG vaccine helps protect infants against severe forms of TB

Despite being treatable, tuberculosis continues to affect millions of people globally. Early diagnosis, access to treatment, and strong public health systems remain essential to achieving the global goal of eliminating TB by 2030.

CRISMO supports efforts that strengthen community awareness, early detection, and access to healthcare, helping build healthier communities and a TB-free future.

The people you surround yourself with matter more than you think. The energy you allow into your life sets the tone, the standards, and the direction for where you are going.

They say if you have even one person who fiercely believes in you, you can change the world. That belief fuels courage, strengthens resilience, and reminds you of your potential on the days when you forget it yourself.

Our friends influence our habits, our habits shape our choices, and our choices ultimately determine our future.

Choose to surround yourself with people who uplift you, challenge you to grow, and support your dreams - in business, in partnerships, in life, and in love.
Because nothing speaks louder than the circle you keep. The right people don’t just stand beside you - they help you rise.

✨ Choose your circle wisely. Your future is listening ✨

Human Rights Day
On 21 March, South Africa commemorates Human Rights Day, a moment to reflect on the country’s journey toward democracy and to honour those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for freedom.

This day marks the Sharpeville Massacre of 1960, when 69 people lost their lives while peacefully protesting the apartheid pass laws. Their courage and sacrifice remain a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom and the importance of protecting human dignity.

Human Rights Day also reaffirms the values contained in Chapter 2 of the South African Constitution – the Bill of Rights, which guarantees the fundamental rights of all people, including equality, dignity, and freedom.

The entire month of March is recognized as Human Rights Month, dedicated to promoting awareness, strengthening a culture of social justice, and encouraging all citizens to understand and uphold their rights.

CRISMO recognizes that access to quality healthcare, respect, and dignity are essential human rights and remain committed to contributing to healthier communities while upholding the values of equality and respect for all.

😁 World Oral Health Awareness Day 🦷

A powerful reminder:

If you’re worried about the cost of going for it, take a moment to consider the cost of staying exactly where you are.

Taking a risk may bring short-term discomfort or uncertainty, but it often leads to growth, relief, and new opportunities shortly after. Remaining stuck, however, can cost far more - Your happiness, your health, your peace of mind, and the possibilities that never get explored.

If you’re wondering whether the time is right to go study, start a new hobby, or explore a new passion, this is your reminder to go for it. You don’t have to have everything figured out.

Do it scared. But do it anyway.

Have the courage to believe in new beginnings and new opportunities. Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come when we challenge the belief that everything must be done the traditional way.

Change your mindset. Change your direction. The change starts with you.

World Kidney Day
A global initiative to raise awareness about the importance of kidney health and the prevention of kidney disease.
Your kidneys may be small, but they play a powerful role in keeping your body healthy.

Here are 5 important facts about your kidneys:
Kidneys are bean-shaped organs, about 10–12 cm long, roughly the size of a clenched fist.
💧 Your kidneys filter around 180 litres of blood every day.
🩸 They help control the production of red blood cells.
⚖️ Kidneys release hormones that regulate blood pressure.
🚰 They remove waste from the body by producing urine and maintaining fluid balance.

⚠️ What damages the kidneys most?
The leading causes of kidney damage are diabetes and high blood pressure. Other contributing factors include:
• Obesity
• Smoking
• Excessive alcohol consumption
• Certain medications
• Poor diet (high salt and sugar)
• Autoimmune diseases
• Poor sleep patterns

Taking steps to manage your blood pressure, blood sugar, diet, and lifestyle can significantly reduce the risk of kidney disease.
At CRISMO, we encourage everyone to stay informed, prioritize preventative health, and seek regular medical check-ups.

👁️ Glaucoma Awareness Week | 8 - 14 March 👁️

This week we shine a light on the importance of protecting our vision. Glaucoma Week, observed annually from 8 - 14 March, focuses on raising awareness about the importance of regular eye and optic nerve checks to help detect glaucoma as early as possible.

Glaucoma is often called the “silent thief of sight” because it can develop slowly without noticeable symptoms until vision loss has already occurred. Early detection through routine eye examinations is key to protecting your vision.

This year’s theme, “Uniting for a Glaucoma-Free World,” reminds us that awareness, education, and early screening can help prevent unnecessary vision loss. Together, we can encourage our communities, families, and colleagues to prioritise their eye health.

👁️ Protect your sight.
👁️ Schedule regular eye exams.
👁️ Share the message.
