🌍 World Leprosy Day – January 26 🌍

Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae. It primarily affects the skin, nerves, eyes, and nasal lining. Symptoms include light-colored or red skin patches, numbness, and weakness in the hands or feet.

At Holani Medical Centre, we stress that leprosy is treatable with free multidrug therapy (MDT) available at many health facilities. Early detection and treatment can prevent complications, disabilities, and further transmission.

Prevention Tips:
