This is a 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in our practice. We usually advise that you wait 8 - 10 weeks post operatively before measurements can be taken and breast prosthesis can be fitted.

This was an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 as the patient had a 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. Both achillies are shortened, with the right side also having a drop foot. As an IDT it was decided that we proceed with night splints and diligent physio, before we proceed with a partial foot and AFO. We are hoping to see positive changes in this patients outcome.
