🌍 Building a Better Makhanda — Phase Two Begins

We’re excited to share that the second phase of the SEF Recycled Paving Project at Opposite the Arch is officially underway!

After the success of the first installation, we’re proud to continue partnering with this inspiring local initiative — one that transforms recycled glass and plastic waste into beautiful, sustainable paving blocks, while creating meaningful income and skills-building opportunities for unemployed community members.

Over the next few weeks, you may notice some activity and construction as the team begins laying more paving around our building.

A small apology for any inconvenience during this time — but we promise it’s all in support of something truly worthwhile: improving our shared spaces, uplifting local livelihoods, and investing in a greener future for Makhanda.

Thank you for your patience as we continue building something better, one block at a time.
