As the rate of COVID-19 infections decrease and schools reopen, we're starting to see our lives return to "normal".
If you are reading this be thankful of your journey and all the challenges, losses and heartaches you've overcome.
I have had the privilege of working on the frontline for majority of the pandemic and it has been a journey, to say the least.
My journey started at the CTICC, COVID-19 Field Hospital, dubbed the Hospital of Hope in June 2020.
This is where I met and worked with extraordinary people. Something about preparing and facing the unknown builds strong & everlasting bonds that stay true even after the facilities closes.
While there were many challenges, I am grateful for my journey and where it leads.
So while we look forward to returning to our "normal" lives let's remember to stay safe.

We are a private out-patient practice based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town and offer both practice based and mobile services.
As physiotherapists we are first line practitioners and do not require referral letters from other health professionals. We are trained to assess and treat neuro, muscular, skeletal, pulmonary, cardiac and vascular conditions.
We have two qualified physiotherapists, Tanya Ward and Amierah Paleker who do all assessments, treatment planning, treatment and health promotion. Although receiving the same degree attained at the University of the Western Cape they have different styles of assessment & treatment. This is based on post-graduate courses/readings and different fields of interest of the therapists. The different interest areas allow for a broader scope the therapist treat and an increase in treatment options for patients.
The therapists consult with a multidisciplinary team consisting of GP’s, biokinetisists, dieticians and occupational therapists to improve patient care and management.
Both Tanya & Amierah strive to treat patients with dignity and respect allowing patients to determine the parameters of treatment but ensure improvement in their quality of life.
