We are proud to be a Program of Badisa.

So… how do you explain Badisa at a braai? 🔥
Everyone knows this moment. Someone asks what you do, you say you work for Badisa…and then comes the follow-up question: “Oh nice… so what exactly does Badisa do?”

Suddenly it feels like you need a whole presentation. The good news is that explaining Badisa does not have to be complicated.

💙Badisa is a social services organisation that connects people and communities to care. Through our programmes we support children and families, help older persons, walk alongside people recovering from substance dependency, support persons with disabilities, and create alternative family care through foster care and adoption.

At Badisa we also use initiatives such as Kuumba to do important preventative work and awareness campaigns. Prevention and early awareness help protect children and families and make sure people know where to find support before situations become crises. In other words, Badisa is there for people through every chapter of life, helping them find support, stability and dignity when they need it most.

In the illustration you might also notice a ladybird. 🐞The ladybird represents our volunteers. People are always happy to see a ladybird because it brings colour, happiness and joy, just like the volunteers who support our programmes.

🐜And if you look closely in the corner, you will see a line of little ants. They represent the hardworking Badisa staff who keep everything moving forward every day.

So next time someone asks what Badisa does, you can keep it simple - no PowerPoint needed! 😉
