I’m Angela Candler, therapist, author, and unapologetic alchemist of healing, truth, and feminine fire. After years of living in survival mode, I reclaimed my voice, my story, and my power, and I help other women do the same. Through mashing up all my teachings, healing, therapy, writing, and soulful self-practices like facial yoga and mindfulness, psychosex therapy(women's wellness), I guide women to rise from burnout, trauma, and silence into fierce self-worth. When a review comes in, it does something magical for an indie author. It’s not just feedback on a book. It’s validation that the hundreds of quiet hours spent writing, doubting, rewriting, and hoping actually reached someone. It sparks a little happy dance, yes, but more than that, it plants a seed of confidence that whispers, keep going.
I don’t think the world truly understands how daunting it is to write a book, let alone publish one. You pour pieces of yourself onto the page and release them into a world that can sometimes feel brutally honest.
That’s why reviews matter so much.
They remind authors that their words didn’t disappear into the void. That someone read them. Felt them. Thought about them.
And even if a book wasn’t your cup of tea, sharing that with kindness still matters. Thoughtful reviews help authors grow, learn, and continue telling their stories.
Behind every book is a human heart that dared to speak. Sometimes a few kind words are the courage that helps it speak again.

IT’S DONE. The sequel is WRITTEN. 🥳📚✨

The words have marched, danced, cried, argued, made peace and finally sat themselves down like tired children after a long road trip.

The sequel to Fifty Years Brave is officially complete. That first wild, beautiful draft has been caught, hugged, and pulled into life kicking and screaming.

And now… the editing era begins even though I edit as I go.. Here’s to the quiet magic after the storm.

Being a survivor myself, this moment is a powerful milestone, one I feel deeply in every part of me.

The SA statistics for DV but known as GBV and Femicide in SA:

1 in 3 women
15 women are unalived a day
We have 6 times the amount compared to any other country
Victim blaming

It began with women standing together, refusing to stay silent, and the world finally echoing the truth we’ve known all along..

This needs to STOP.

When we rise alongside one another, our strength becomes undeniable.
Look at what we can create when we choose unity over division, support over judgment, and courage over silence.

Together, we are unstoppable.

We have made history and thank you to the Women For Change for starting this campaign 💜

As of yesterday GBV was declared a National Disaster in SA.

Today we rise.
For every woman silenced.
For every child stolen.
For every sister who never made it home.
Today we lie down so this country finally stand up. Today, we refuse to be invisible.
Today, we make South Africa feel our absence, and our power.
This is only the beginning.
We will not stop.
Not until every girl grows up safe.
Not until every survivor is heard.
Not until the killing ends.

We rise together 💜

Friday Feelings, and why I think indie authors deserve better...

Lately, I’ve noticed a big rise in negative comments aimed at indie authors on social media, and honestly? It’s getting out of hand.

Just because someone chooses to self-publish does not make them any less of a writer than someone with a traditional deal. Many indie authors invest in editors, designers, marketers, and run full author businesses on their own. Their books touch lives, build communities, and offer stories traditional publishing doesn’t always take a chance on. What’s sad is that most of the negativity comes from people who have never written a book themselves.

It’s easy to criticise. It’s much harder to create.

But amidst all the noise, there’s something beautiful happening too:

There are incredible readers, coaches, reviewers, and fellow writers who show up every single day to champion indie authors. They share posts, leave reviews, cheer loudly, and help these books reach the readers who need them.

These people are the real heroes of the indie world. 💛

So here’s your reminder today:

Support creativity.
Support courage.
Support indie authors.

Why should you support? Because stories don’t need a corporation’s approval to be worthy. They just need a reader willing to believe in them.
