An Invitation to Practice.
My name is James Prain, and the work I share through Whale Song Gong is a practical approach to embodiment and healing.
I have a limited number of spots available for new students at our ProActive Wellness Studio.
We'll work on the fundamentals, establishing a solid foundation so that we can progress together, with intention, for the long term.
The Offerings: Fire & Water
My two Saturday morning classes are designed as a complete system, offering a balance of dynamic power and restorative flow. While you can attend either class, they are designed to complement each other beautifully, providing a comprehensive approach to health and longevity.
08h00 - 09h15: Fire - Functional Synergistics - Strong Yoga
This is a steady, strength-building practice focused on deep core activation, joint support, and functional mobility. It's a purposeful workout that builds foundational strength from the inside out.
09h30 - 10h30: Water - QiGong & Taiji - For Health & Longevity
Discover graceful, restorative movement drawn from classical Chinese medicine. This practice uses gentle patterns to promote balance, fluidity, and internal calm. It's a meditative and accessible practice for all. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to breathe and move.

For over two decades, I've been a student and a guide in the art of human movement. I teach with clarity and care, welcoming absolute beginners, those in recovery, and longtime practitioners alike. My approach is precise, practical, and quietly transformative.
