According to new research, walking may help delay the advancement of Alzheimer's disease, especially in those most vulnerable to it. Participants in the study who walked between 3000 and 5000 steps per day experienced about three years of delay in cognitive decline. Although 3000 steps might sound like a daunting task, keep in mind that the average person normally walks 4000 steps per day (walking around the house, between shops, etc.). Adding just a moderate amount of additional steps could impact your physical and mental health for years to come!
