I wanted to share this lesson because it’s one so many of us need — not only as parents of adolescents, but also in our marriages, our friendships, and our families.
Sometimes before we can truly see someone else’s hurt, we first need to take off the glasses of our own pain.
👉 You can read my full post and story on my page.

✨ ✨ TUESDAY LESSONS FROM MY OWN JOURNEY ✨ ✨

A few years back, when my son was being bullied at school, I made a mistake I didn’t even realise at the time. Even though I knew about the brain, even though I had the tools, I still fell into the same trap so many of us do.

THE TRAP:

Instead of seeing HIS PAIN for what it was, I let my OWN MEMORIES of being hurt as an adolescent colour the way I understood and responded to him.

And because of that, I couldn’t give him the support he really needed.

WHY?

Because I was seeing his situation through the GLASSES OF MY OWN PAST, not through his eyes.

THE LESSON:

Before responding to your child’s EMOTIONAL PAIN, pause and ask yourself —
Am I seeing this through their eyes, or through the PAINFUL LENS of my own adolescent hurts?

THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT:

Neuroscience shows that when we witness our child’s pain, our empathy circuits don’t just react to their hurt — they also light up with echoes of our own. And if we don’t notice that, we risk reacting to ourselves instead of them.

THE REMINDER I HOLD ONTO:

👉 Take off the glasses of your past hurt, so you can truly see, hear, and support the person in front of you.

🌟 SOMETHING NEW IS COMING… AND I HAVE A GIFT FOR YOU 🌟

To everyone who’s been part of this journey with me — whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just recently found your way here — thank you 💛

Over the years, I’ve grown, evolved, and deepened my mission to support teens and young adults in building real confidence, emotional strength, and meaningful connection. And now… it’s time for a new name that truly reflects that purpose.

✨ Tomorrow, I’m officially launching my new name!
I’m so excited for this next chapter — and I can’t wait to share it with you.

🎁 To celebrate, I’ve created a free gift for all the teens preparing for their June/July exams…

🧠 Introducing the BRAIN BOOT-UP
A 5-minute brain warm-up designed to help teens:

✅ Calm exam-day anxiety
✅ Activate focus and memory
✅ Prevent that awful brain-freeze feeling
✅ Walk into the exam room feeling calm and confident

Please note:
This isn’t a study guide — and it’s not about nutrition, sleep, or phone rules.
While good sleep and healthy eating are very important in the lead-up to exams, the Brain Boot-Up is different.

It’s a set of practical, neuroscience-based tools to help your brain function at its best — on the day of the exam, when you walk into school, and especially as you sit down to begin writing.

💬 WANT A COPY? Here’s how:
✔️ Follow this page (if you haven’t already)
✔️ Tomorrow, go to the pinned post where I announce the new name
✔️ Comment “WANT” under that post

📩 I’ll personally send you the Brain Boot-Up PDF — a free, practical gift to help teens feel focused and calm before their exams.

🎟️ Social Confidence: The Golden Ticket to Your Daughter's Success! 🎟️

As parents, we all want to see our daughters thrive—navigating friendships, school, and the ups and downs of being a teen with confidence. But let’s face it—it's not always easy for them to believe in themselves, speak up, and feel at ease in social situations.

Social confidence is the golden ticket to thriving in the teen world! It's not just about being outgoing—it's about knowing you're valuable, capable, and caring. When girls have social confidence, they’re more likely to:
✅ Take on challenges without hesitation
✅ Build strong, meaningful friendships
✅ Set boundaries and communicate their needs
✅ Navigate social dynamics with resilience

I've seen how this golden ticket opens doors:
💡 In school — Speaking up in class, asking questions, and sharing ideas without stress.
💬 In friendships — Forming genuine connections, handling conflict, and navigating social ups and downs.
❤️ In relationships — Recognizing their worth, setting boundaries, and understanding healthy dynamics.
💼 In work & beyond — Confidently speaking up in interviews, managing responsibilities, and embracing new experiences.

✨ Imagine your daughter holding her "golden ticket"—stepping out of her comfort zone, embracing challenges, and truly believing in herself.
If you want to help her develop this priceless confidence, join our BUILDING SOCIAL CONFIDENCE IN ADOLESCENT GIRLS AND THEIR MOMS !
