It’s a vision. It’s about making a positive impact. An NGO with over 20 years of expertise in South African health research, whose journey launched in 2001 with the combat against HIV and continued with battling the COVID-19 pandemic. We have conducted skilled health interventions to combat epidemics that negatively impact our people, such as COVID-19, TB, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), as well as chronic diseases such as cholesterol, diabetes and high blood pressure. We proudly partner with local stakeholders such as government organisations, tertiary institutions, community policing forums and local businesses to implement evidence-based health research programmes, resulting in positive impact across sub-Saharan Africa. We offer a wide range of services, including lab testing, HIV status monitoring, private COVID-19 testing, discount testing through our studies and health research fieldwork assistance! Epicentre Health Research is looking for professional Enrolled Nurses to join a high-priority Rapid Test Clinical Trial. 🧬

💰 Salary: R16,000 per month

📍 Location: Cape Town (Clinic-based)

Our Story

For 20 years Epicentre, has worked steadily as a multi-ethnic team to fight back against South Africa’s infectious diseases, and now we’re taking on COVID-19!

We work with government organisations, businesses and funders to address some of South Africa's most critical problems. We specialise in medical testing, implementing technologically advanced public health research, program impact assessment & implementing workplace programs. Since our founding in 2001, Epicentre has been helping its clients and partners to build strategies, develop partnerships within their communities and implement programmes that have a lasting and positive social and financial impact.

Epicentre focuses on two major areas: Community-based or Clinic-based Research to help our partners both in and out of the field to understand COVID, HIV, TB and other chronic conditions. We aim through our programs to help and understand those that are affected and to stop the spread of infection to those that are not.

Implementing evidence-based COVID/HIV and Wellness interventions in a workplace setting. Epicentre helps businesses to assess health-based problems within their company, and then plan, manage and put in place an HIV and Wellness programmes that have proven results; which we can look back on and evaluate within each individual business.
