Great learning experience for professionals in the field. This equips us to gain knowledge on dizziness in children and how to prevent falls. It enabled us to partner with our colleagues in order to improve services for our patients.

🎉 Happy International Cochlear Implant Day – 25 February 2025 🎉

Today we celebrate the life-changing technology of cochlear implants and the incredible individuals who use them to connect with the world of sound. 💙

A cochlear implant is a medical device designed for people with severe to profound hearing loss who receive limited benefit from hearing aids. Unlike hearing aids, which amplify sound, cochlear implants bypass damaged parts of the inner ear and directly stimulate the hearing nerve — allowing the brain to interpret sound signals.

Mrs Preen, 91 years old, demonstrated that age is just a number. She was fitted with a new set of hearing aids today. I was impressed by the speed and ease with which she inserted the hearing aids into her ears 😊. Mrs Preen is loving her new set of hearing aids with audio streaming.
