The outpouring of love and appreciation for Dr. Stewart has been absolutely incredible. So far, I have 21 pages and the post has only been up for 6 hours, so seeing the response really is very touching. Dr. Stewart didn't want a party or celebration, so let's show her how much she is loved in a different way - something she can hold onto and have a look at if she is feeling down.

What are people's thoughts on us sending out a bulk sms to all the patients advising everyone of same and giving them the option to send us a message for her? We know receiving unsolicited text messages is annoying, so we welcome feedback on the matter.

Dear patients, the time has come; our beloved Dr Stewart is hanging up her white coat and retiring from full-time general practice. Do not despair though, as she is still planning to work on a Saturday. We will put out a notice when this will commence, as she will have a well-deserved rest for the first couple of months of 2025.

We want to put together a book for her with letters or messages from patients, as she has requested not to have a party. If you would like to contribute to this book, please drop us an email at accounts@rsbw.co.za with your letter/message and your name.

There is a problem with Metrofibre and Vodacom. It appears that a lot of people phoning us from Vodacom numbers aren’t able to get through. Patients are able to phone in but when they press 1, 2 or 3 the line goes dead. Metrofibre is aware of it and have escalated it to Vodacom. If this has happened to other people please send us your cell number and approximately when you called. The more numbers we can send to metrofibre the faster the issue will be resolved hopefully. In the meantime please use the cell number if you can’t get through: 060 309 7052

Our beloved, Dr Rene Stewart, has decided...everyone can breathe a sigh of relief, she isn't retiring😄😅...that she wants to take things a bit easier, so she will now be working from 1pm until 5pm on weekdays (excluding Wednesdays as she takes the day off) and Saturday mornings as per normal.

Our very quiet, newest chick, Dr Stefanie Welch, is now working full-time at the practice. She works from 8:30am until 11:45am and then again from 2pm until 4pm. A number of patients got to know Dr Welch during the chaotic month of April, and I'm sure they will agree that she, too, is an excellent doctor.
