Coming to believe that a power greater than ourselves, whatever that may be, will restore us to sanity can be a lot to swallow for a newcomer. NA, however, does not demand that we believe anything at all in order to join or even to stop using. The meaning of this idea becomes clearer with time and takes on individual significance in different ways for different people. Anyone seeking help to stop using is welcome to join our meeting today or visit https://na.org.za/.

But in admitting complete defeat we can take the first step toward liberation and recovery. Anyone struggling with using is welcome to join our meeting today. We ourselves have found it difficult to explain why it is that we continued using despite the severe consequences we eventually experienced, why it is that will-power, self-knowledge and sound reasoning were not sufficient to stop. The understanding of addiction as a disease has helped us tremendously to accept our situation and to accept help. Anyone who desires to stop using is welcome to join our meeting today to share in that solution.

Many of us found ourselves in the baffling situation where we could not stop using even when we desperately wanted to. However, our situation made more sense when understood as an illness which, like any other disease of the body and mind, cannot be fought with willpower alone. The right medicine is required and we have found that in the programme of NA. Anyone who needs help is welcome to join our meeting today. Please message the page for more info.
