BEING HAPPY (Pope Francisco)
You can have defects, be anxious and live irritated sometimes, but do not forget that your life is the biggest empire in the world!
Only you can prevent her from going into decline.
There are many that appreciate, admire and love you.
I would like you to remember that being happy is not having a sky without storms, a road without accidents, work without fatigue, or relationships without disappointments.
Being happy is finding strength in forgiveness, hope in battles, security on the stage of fear, and love in disagreements.
Being happy is not only cherishing smiles, but also reflecting on sadness.
It is not just commemorating achievements, but learning lessons in failure.
Not just rejoicing in applause, but having joy in anonymity.
Being happy is recognizing that life is worth living, despite all the challenges, misunderstandings and periods of crisis.
Being happy is not an inevitable fate of life, but a victory for those who can travel into their own being.
Being happy is to stop being a victim of the problems and become an actor in the story.
It is crossing deserts outside of oneself, but being able to find an oasis in the recesses of our soul.
It is thanking God every morning for the miracle of life.
Being happy is not being afraid of one's feelings.
It is being able to talk about oneself.
It is having the courage to hear a "no".
It is having security to receive criticism, even when it is unfair.
It is kissing your children, pampering your parents, having poetic moments with friends, even if they hurt us.
Being happy is allowing the happy and simple creature who lives within each of us to live freely.
It is having the maturity to say "I was wrong."
It is having the audacity to say "excuse me."
It is having the sensitivity to express "I need you."
It is having the ability to say "I love you."
I wish that your life be a garden of opportunities to be happy again ...
That in your spring you be a lover of joy.
That in your winter you be a friend of wisdom.
And that when you are on the wrong road, you start all over again!
Then you will be more passionate about life.
And you will find that happiness is not having a perfect life.
But using tears to water tolerance.
Using losses to refine patience.
Using failure to sculpt serenity.
Using pain to etch pleasure.
Using obstacles to open the windows of intelligence.
Never give up ....
Never give up on the people you love.
Never give up on being happy, because life is an incredible show!
