Every Thursday at 17H30 offers an immersive experience to meet yourself where you are.

Somatic meditation is a body-based mindfulness practice that focuses on tuning into physical sensations rather than trying to control thoughts. Instead of “emptying the mind,” you gently notice breath, tension, temperature, movement, and subtle internal shifts. The body becomes the anchor.

By increasing awareness of sensation, somatic meditation can help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress and anxiety, release stored tension, and improve emotional resilience. It’s especially supportive for people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in overthinking.

The goal isn’t to force relaxation — it’s to build a safer, steadier relationship with your own body.

Fascia is nerve-rich connective tissue.
It constantly communicates with the brain.

Somatic Meditation 🌿 with

Instead of trying to quiet the mind, we gently come home to the body.

Somatic meditation is a body-based awareness practice — noticing sensation, breath, tension, temperature, movement and emotion exactly as they are, without forcing calm or controlling thoughts.
We don’t escape the nervous system… we listen to it.

Through soft attention, the body begins to unwind stored stress, survival patterns soften, and safety is felt rather than imagined.

This is meditation for real life:
for busy minds, sensitive hearts, and bodies that have carried too much for too long.

You don’t have to be still.
You don’t have to “clear your thoughts.”
You just have to feel — gently, slowly, kindly.

Coming back into the body is the meditation. 🤍

Happy Valentine’s Day you beautiful soul! ❤️

I hope that you are paying attention to all the love in your life - not just romantic love. We are surrounded by love and we are love - from our beautiful biology through to our complex thoughts - we are able to give and receive love. This day is a celebration of LOVE.

Love can be painful and challenging though. Whether we are in relationships (romantic, family and friendship etc) or struggling with a relationship from the past or with ourselves - it’s ok to need a bit of support sometimes.

For the rest of Feb 2026 I am offering a once off R80 discount for your counselling session. Whether new or existing, if you see this post - save the pic and send it when you book in your counselling session. The discount will apply to anyone in South Africa, once.

What if I told you that there are ways to help kids minimise the emotional impact of the break up of a family?

Breaking up the family can be very upsetting and traumatic for kids of all ages. We can see a lot of unsavoury behaviours, anxiety, rebellion, grief, anger and changes in kids and teens which can make life even more difficult and painful for all involved.

This workshop will be a space to learn, share and equip yourselves with tools and resources to feel empowered and supported in your parenting journey.

🌻About me:

After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Rhodes University I went on to do my Honours degree in psychology (2004-2007). I then travelled overseas to London where I gained experience in pre primary schools and community centres. I then went to Melbourne Australia and completed a masters degree in humanistic psychotherapy or counselling psychology (2011-2012).

After graduating I remained in Melbourne for 4 years working in two prominent family support organisations. I was trained in family systems theories and incorporated my own emotional regulation approach in my work. I revived the HOPE program which was hands on parenting support for parents of children under 5 years old. I completed professional development training in a variety of mental health, parenting, disability and risk assessment. This included monthly training from child protection services in Melbourne. I was also trained in delivering seminars and workshops in this area by the highly experienced Helen Rimmington in Melbourne.

I have developed my own approach over the years and feel strongly about sharing knowledge and empowering people to take the drivers seat in their own journeys.

I am passionate about helping people from the roots up and all the magic happens in our early years. So much can be prevented with early intervention. Even a little knowledge can create a significant change.
