Purple is more than just a colour.
It tells a story, stands as a symbol and makes a statement.

Over the years, this bold shade has come to represent wisdom, dignity, courage and resistance. Today, purple is at the heart of a movement that goes beyond social media.

It has become a call for justice, unity and change, especially in the fight against (GBV).

According to the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development, Gender-based Violence (GBV) means all acts perpetuated against women, men, boys and girls on the basis of their s*x which causes or could cause them physical, s*xual, psychological, emotional or economic harm.

Today we stand in unity to acknowledge and speak up against GBV!

💜 Today we honour the tiniest fighters with the biggest courage. 💜

On World Prematurity Day, we celebrate our premature babies, their families, and the dedicated healthcare teams who walk every step of this journey with them.

A premature baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy – small in size, but never in strength. These little miracles remind us every day that hope is powerful, resilience is real, and growth happens in its own time.

At our hospitals, our Maternity and Neonatal Care Teams are committed to giving premature infants the best possible start through:
👣 Specialised Neonatal / High Care Units
👶 Skilled Nurses and Paediatric Teams
💗 Family-Centred Care and Parental Support
🩺 Continuous Monitoring & Individualised Care Plans
🤱 Encouraging Kangaroo Mother Care for bonding and development

To the parents who sit beside incubators, whisper love through glass, and celebrate every gram gained — we see you. Your strength, patience and love make all the difference.

To our nurses, paediatricians, midwives, and neonatal support staff — thank you for your steady hands, gentle hearts, and unwavering commitment.

And to our little warriors, who show us every day what it means to fight…
You are our miracles. 💜

Happy World Prematurity Day.
Where there is tiny life, there is enormous hope.

Today we celebrate World Radiology Day – and honour the remarkable radiographers and radiologists who play an essential role in patient care every single day.

Radiology is more than just X-rays and scans.
It is early detection, accurate diagnosis, and guiding treatment so that our doctors can provide the best possible care. Whether it’s identifying fractures, monitoring chronic conditions, detecting cancers early, or supporting emergency teams in critical moments – our Radiology Department is central to safe, quality healthcare.

To our radiology teams:
Thank you for your precision, your patience, your skill, and your commitment to compassionate care. Your work often happens quietly behind the scenes, but the impact is powerful and life-changing.

Today we see you. Today we honour you.
Thank you for being an integral part of our healthcare family.

Happy World Radiology Day!
