As Biokineticists, we understand the vital role movement plays in both the prevention and recovery of breast cancer.

Regular exercise not only reduces risk but also supports women through treatment and recovery — improving strength, mobility, mood and overall quality of life. 🤸🏽‍♀️

Move for your mental health. 🤸‍♂️
Exercise does not just strengthen your body — it uplifts your mind too!

By boosting “feel-good” hormones like endorphins, serotonin and dopamine, regular physical activity can help reduce symptoms of anxiety, stress and depression.

As Biokineticists, we see how movement transforms not only physical health but emotional well-being too.
🔷 Better sleep
🔷 Less stress and muscle tension
🔷 Improved focus and memory
🔷 A sense of achievement and routine

Take care of your mind — start with your body. 💙

Knee pain might be a sign of Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome (PFPS). 🦵

That ache behind or around your kneecap when climbing stairs, squatting, running or even sitting for too long is not something you should ignore.

PFPS – sometimes called “runner’s knee” – develops when the kneecap does not move smoothly in its groove, leading to irritation and pain over time.

The impact on your daily activities can be frustrating, but the good news is that targeted strengthening, mobility and movement retraining can make a huge difference. 🤸🏽‍♀️

That is where Biokinetics comes in – helping you get back to moving pain-free and with confidence.

Stay tuned for our next post where we will share the common causes of PFPS and how Biokinetics can help manage it.

Hydrotherapy group classes 🏊🏼‍♀️

Hydrotherapy refers to therapeutic exercise performed in warm water. Classes are suitable for all age groups and body types.

Hydrotherapy has many benefits, including the following:
💧 The warmth of the water promotes circulation and blood flow leading to pain relief and better pain management.
💧 The effect of gravity on the body is reduced due to the full body immersion.
💧 There is reduced impact and compression on the joints due to the bouyancy from the water.

What is the difference between prehabilitation and rehabilitation?

Prehabilitation focuses on getting your body stronger, more mobile and ready before surgery or injury. It is about prevention and preparation, helping you bounce back faster when the time comes.

Rehabilitation steps in after surgery or injury, aiming to restore movement, strength and independence so you can return to your normal activities safely.

Whether it is preventing injury or recovering from one, Biokinetics is here to guide you every step of the way.

🦴 Did you know your hip pain might be a sign of Osteoarthritis?

That stiffness in the morning, the discomfort after a long walk or the difficulty tying your shoes — it might not be just “getting older.”

These are often early signs of hip osteoarthritis (OA) – a condition that affects the smooth movement of your hip joint over time.

It develops gradually, but the impact on your everyday life can be significant if left untreated.

The good news? With the right movement and strengthening plan, you can take back control - and that is where Biokinetics comes in.

Stay tuned for our next post where we will explain the causes of hip OA and how Biokinetics can help you move with less pain and more freedom.
