Labour began quietly in the early morning… but this incredible mama kept occupied, trusting her body until her waters finally broke.
She arrived glowing — all smiles — you’d never guess she was already in labour.
With gentle positioning, movement, and the steady support of her doula Raeesah, her journey unfolded with such grace.
Just 4 hours later, she welcomed her beautiful little princess underwater, held in the care of her midwife .moola and supported by midwife Ayanda.
A birth filled with strength, softness and pure magic. ✨💗🕊️
Mum enjoyed a postpartum massage by doula Raeesah and opted to stay for an additional stay overnight where she was gently supported by her midwife .moola & doula Dilfeeza.

The strength of a woman is truly incredible.
Mum arrived just as she entered the active phase of labour — and from there, she progressed fast and beautifully, held by the unwavering support of her family and her partner at her side.

As light drizzles fell outside, she gently birthed her gorgeous little prince underwater, supported by her amazing team — Midwife Ayanda and Doula Philile.

After a soothing welcome massage, mum settled in for the night, and by breakfast time, this powerful mama was ready to head home with her little prince. 👑💙✨

Today is World Prematurity Day 💜

At Birth on 5th, we follow strict safety criteria to ensure every mother and baby receives the safest care possible.
One of our key guidelines is that all mums should give birth after 37 weeks, as this is considered full term.

Babies born before 37 weeks are at higher risk and require specialised medical support.
For this reason, all preterm births must take place at a hospital equipped with a NICU, where both mum and baby can receive immediate, expert care.

Birth facilities are designed for healthy, low-risk pregnancies, with everything you need for a safe, supported birth close at hand.

Our qualified midwives monitor both mother and baby with skill and calm attention, and are trained to act quickly if anything needs extra care.

And if hospital support becomes necessary, a clear and smooth transfer plan is already in place — because your safety will always be our highest priority.

✨When birth takes a different path✨
This incredibly strong mama laboured beautifully for almost 24 hours at Birth on 5th, supported with care and dedication by her doula and midwife . Baby remained happy throughout, but after many position changes and hours of gentle encouragement, it became clear that further assistance was needed — and that’s when we transferred to our backup hospital.
At Birth on 5th, we honour the natural process of birth, but we also know that safety is always the priority. Home birth facilities are designed for low-risk births, and when labour needs additional medical support, transfer is the safest and most responsible decision.

The following day, this determined mum gave birth to a healthy, strong little princess. 💕
Every birth story is unique — even when the journey takes a new direction, it remains beautiful, empowering, and deeply valid.

But on a crisp, rainy night, she finally made her beautiful entrance earthside 💕 Almost a whole kilogram bigger than her brother, with rosy cheeks, eager to drink, and absolutely gorgeous. Surrounded by love, beautiful friends, and family — a night to remember. 💫

Today, Birth on 5th had the privilege of extending our care to the Westbury community, where we offered Pap smears and breast examinations for women.
In collaboration with JUSA and IMASA, various health screenings were conducted — all aimed at promoting primary prevention through early detection.

A heartfelt thank you to Mullah Lab for your continued support and for providing all screenings at no cost.
And a big thank you to the JUSA caregivers and our incredible Birth on 5th team — , , and sister Princess — for dedicating your time and compassion to this initiative. 💕
