Our Social Worker, Reabetswe Kgoedi joined in the Netcare Sunninghill stroke awareness day. Stroke awareness involves knowing the signs of a stroke, acting F.A.S.T. (Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call emergency services), and understanding that strokes can be prevented through healthy lifestyle choices.
The social worker plays a crucial role in stroke recovery.

Netcare Rehabilitation Hospital had the privilege of hosting a Stroke Awareness Training Workshop in collaboration with colleagues at Netcare Garden City Hospital.
Under the theme "From Onset to Recovery: Bridging Acute Care and Multidisciplinary Rehab for Stroke Survivors", the morning brought together dedicated professionals from across neighbouring Netcare Acute hospitals for a powerful learning experience.
Our social worker, Ashlyn Isaacs, explained the role of the social worker in the Stroke Journey.
