Your sleep can have an impact on your immune system. If you aren’t sleeping too well, your immune system will be weaker due to the stress response this causes. This can then feedback into restless sleep and/or staying in a stressful state, which feeds back into the other. It can become a vicious cycle. Breathwork can support your nervous system to down regulate, allowing a more restful night’s sleep and giving your immune system a chance to work optimally. You breathe about 20,000 times a day anyway. Why not learn a better way to do something you are already doing, to benefit you?

Reminder Monday: don’t get stuck in the start-of-the-week-stress. Bring your attention onto your breath and slow it down. Nice and gentle. In and out through the nose. Feel yourself relax a little bit more, every time you exhale. If your mind wonders, it’s okay, just bring it back to your breath.

So, as much as it is important to work your core, it is also crucial to work and use your diaphragm - to breathe efficiently and move effectively
