A New Dawn for Traditional Healing

The Traditional Healers Organization (THO) AGM 2025 is not a closure; it is a declaration. After two days of foundational discussions, we are not simply closing a session—we are unleashing a movement.

The presence of our healers, drawn from all nine provinces, from the deepest rural villages to the densest urban centers, across all demographics, is our first revolutionary act. This diverse unity shatters old hierarchies. It is a bold affirmation that gender equality and the conviction that the youth are not the leaders of tomorrow, but the architects of power today are non-negotiable pillars of our future.

A System of Justice and Wellness
The THO asserts that Traditional Health Practice is a complete system—a foundational, indigenous knowledge base that we will reclaim, own, and wield as a force for total transformation. We will no longer stand as passive observers.

This commitment immediately targets the darkness:
We are issuing a formal war cry against every act of violence perpetrated in the name of culture or tradition. The THO will actively and systemically combat GBVF, repositioning our practices as sanctuaries of respect, healing, and absolute protection for the vulnerable.

Health as a Human Right: Our traditional system is poised to redefine wellness. We demand and will build a healthcare future where indigenous knowledge stands as an equal, vital component, ensuring holistic, accessible, and affordable Health for all citizens, treating not just the symptom, but the whole person and their community.

Socio-Economic Freedom: Our indigenous knowledge holds the keys to sustainable local economies. We will leverage our system to drive Socio-Economic Freedom, empowering practitioners and communities to own their intellectual property, build self-sufficient enterprises, and shatter the chains of poverty and dependency.

Climate Change as a Spiritual Crisis: We stand on the frontline of the environmental battle. Our deep connection to the earth makes us the original guardians. The THO will lead by integrating ancestral wisdom into modern environmental solutions, recognizing that the fight against Climate Change is a moral and spiritual imperative for the preservation of life.

Education for Empowerment: We are launching an intellectual insurrection. Education will not be a tool of assimilation, but an engine of empowerment. We will formalize, document, and disseminate our knowledge, ensuring that our ancestral practices thrive in an accredited, robust system that prepares a new generation of healers to be global leaders in science, wellness, and justice.

The THO AGM 2025 has cemented our transition from a membership organization to a radical engine of societal change. We are here to dismantle injustice and rebuild a truly healthy nation, guided by the wisdom of the ancestors and the revolutionary spirit of our youth.

A New Dawn for Traditional Healing

For a second day, the Traditional Healers Organization (THO) stands as the epicenter of a historic convergence! This isn't just an Annual General Meeting; it is the forging of a future where ancient wisdom meets radical freedom.

Today's session ignited with a powerful, unified front, featuring intensive engagements between the THO Board, the revered Committee of Elders, and the representatives of the esteemed Maseko family. The foundations of a new era are being laid, brick by powerful brick, through this intergenerational dialogue.
Later, the momentum will surge as we welcome a revolutionary presentation from THP and hear directly from John Sithole, the visionary President of THUPSA, alongside other committed stakeholders.

This AGM is not an endpoint; it is the launchpad. By the time this assembly concludes, the THO will have secured its definitive Policy Position and Strategies—a declaration of independence that will guarantee not only sector development but, more importantly, absolute freedom of practice for every traditional healer.

The time for quiet consensus is over. The revolution for healing has begun!
