We will also have some of our other micro-businesses selling their products and services, so please come and join us!

It's time to start getting festive!🎄

We can't really believe we are typing these words, but our annual San Salvador Christmas Fete is JUST around the corner!
In addition to the favourites that you have come to expect, we are also delighted to be hosting our San Salvador Community Hub members for the first time!

So come ready for a jam-packed morning of beautiful Christmas carols, retail therapy, massage therapy (yes! Bring those tired hands and your stressed shoulders!), delicious treats and gifting!

Every day, the women in our San Salvador family astound us with their accomplishments.
We work to create opportunities and they rise to the occasion.

It is our joy to see them grow, and learn, and never give up.

If you take a walk through our knitting and weaving room, you will see the pride with which these women work - the love and care that goes in to everything that they make, as well as their incredible growth.

We are so proud to have a home filled with women.
They inspire us every day.

This womens’ month we get to celebrate some amazing ladies.

Yesterday we got to celebrate a very special part of our team- case you don’t know who she is, this is our amazing Sister Maureen.
Sister Maureen joined us 10 years ago, she didn’t think she would still be with us, but she fell in love with our home, and she hasn’t left!

Sister Maureen, thank you for your go-get-em attitude, for always seeing the sunnier side, for never letting the world get you down. Thank you for your love and your commitment, thank you for your kindness and your wisdom. Thank you for all the hugs and the jokes, for your compassion and your strength. Your presence in our home is a gift, and we are so grateful to have you leading our team of nurses.

This is a personal post, but last week Admin (that’s me) was brought to tears.

These two women are absolute heroes, and it is an honour and a privilege to be able to amplify the work that they do. Not just on days that are recognised as charity days, but every day.

The challenges faced by both and cannot be understated. Times in our beautiful country can be tough, and funding is hard to come by.
These women, and the teams that they lead, are the energizer bunnies that never say die. Always looking for new opportunities, for ways to impact lives and build community and relationship.
Ronelle and Naomi, you are incredible humans.
Thank you for all that you do ❤️

❄️ 🥶 ⛄️ With a cold front on its' way, this couldn't be a better time to raise funds for heaters!

Please join us this week for a fun Christmas in July Trivia evening! 🎄🎅
No cost, we are just asking for contributions towards the heaters and solar lamps!

We have so much in store - bring your own food and drinks and we will supply the rest - gluwein, Christmas pudding and gingerbread cookies!

Last week we had the opportunity to celebrate someone incredibly special to our home - our chairman, Ed Wilson.
In celebration of his 80th birthday, he brought cakes and goodies to share with our ladies.

Ed, 80 never looked this good!
Thank you for everything you do for our home and our San Salvador family. There is so much that you do quietly behind the scenes. You never ask for credit or recognition, you just show up and lead with love, passion and determination.
We are lucky to have you as our chairman!
