Our team was called out to Auckland Park for a high-stakes, forceful intervention. The family of "S" was deeply concerned after witnessing a sudden shift in her behavior, triggered by a heavy addiction to w**d and mushrooms.

Based on the family’s description, it was clear that S was experiencing a Drug-Induced Psychosis. These situations are incredibly delicate, but our experienced team was able to step in and manage the crisis effectively.

The Outcome:

We successfully intervened and safely transported S to our dedicated Pretoria Women’s Facility. There, she will receive the medical stabilization and professional care she needs to begin her journey toward recovery.

Today, our team headed out to Springbok Park in Hatfield, Pretoria, for an intervention that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

We were contacted by a mother at her wits' end. Watching her son, A, struggle through repeated cycles of psychosis and unsuccessful stays at multiple rehab facilities, she didn't know where else to turn.

Our team stepped in, located A at the park, and conducted a successful intervention. We have now safely transported him to our Magaliesburg Men’s Facility.

The most powerful moment? Hearing A share his own heart. He told us:

"I'm tired of running away from rehabs. I’m tired of this lifestyle. I just want to come right."

That moment of surrender is where true healing begins. We are honored to walk this journey alongside him as he takes these first steps toward a new life.

Yesterday, our team assisted with a crucial transition for one of our residents, M, moving him from our Pretoria rehab to a local state facility for a 72-hour psychiatric evaluation.

Recovery isn't always a straight line. In this case, M’s recent violent outbursts and a fixated obsession with emergency services (10111 and 911) required specialized medical intervention. Our goal is to ensure he is stabilized and safe so he can successfully continue his journey.

Once evaluated, we look forward to welcoming M back to our center to complete his full rehabilitation program. 💪✨

A Journey of Recovery: From Mafikeng to Magaliesburg 🙏✨

Tonight, our team traveled to Mafikeng Provincial Hospital to collect P following his discharge from the psychiatric ward. After being in close contact with his mother over the past month, we are so grateful to finally see this next step in his journey become a reality.

The reality inside these wards is a sobering reminder of the current crisis we are facing. P was just one of 25 men in that psych ward, all suffering from drug-induced psychosis.

P’s own struggle was triggered by an addiction to w**d and crystal m**h. It is a harsh and heavy road, but today marks the beginning of his turning point. With a clean bill of health from the hospital, we have safely transported him to our men’s facility in Magaliesburg, where he will start our program to get his life fully restored. 👣💪

When a family reached out to us about "D," they were at their wits' end. D had taken over 800 anti-nausea tablets (Cyclizine), and the impact on her nervous system was devastating.

She was unable to walk due to severe tremors, suffering from intense hallucinations, and trapped in a state of total confusion and delirium.

The Journey to Help

The road to treatment wasn't easy. Without medical aid, a private hospital required a R250,000 deposit upfront. However, we didn't give up.

Stabilization: She is now safely admitted to a state hospital where she is being stabilized and her system is being flushed.

The Next Steps: Once physically stable, we are transferring her to our partner psychiatric ward.

Long-term Recovery: From there, she will move into rehab to begin the deep work of healing the underlying struggles that led her here.

Crisis Intervention in Pretoria: A Life Saved 🕊️
It was a 4:00 AM start for our team today. We headed to Pretoria to assist a family in a desperate situation.
To the neighbors and loved ones watching, "X" appeared to have "lost his mind." The reality, however, is one we see all too often: Drug-Induced Psychosis. While under the grip of auditory and visual hallucinations, X believed he was a general of spaceships and the owner of various global empires. Sadly, the reality was much darker. He had been holding his ill mother hostage and terrorizing his family. The stress was so severe that his mother has since been hospitalized.
Our team intervened this morning, successfully de-escalated the situation, and safely transported X to a specialized rehabilitation center in Pretoria. The same center that mandated us to do the intervention in the first place.
At this center he can finally begin to snap out of the psychosis, receive the medical care he needs, and start the long journey toward recovery. There is always hope, even in the darkest hours.

A life changed today! 🙌
About a month ago, we received a desperate call from D’s aunt. D was on a downward spiral due to crystal m**h and w**d addiction. Things had hit a breaking point; he had been arrested on a domestic violence charge and was refused bail. Hearing about the poor treatment he was receiving in prison only added to the urgency.
Today, we spent a long, intense day at the Oberholzer Magistrate’s Court. After hours of navigating the system and negotiating with the Prosecutor and Senior Public Prosecutor, we are overjoyed to share the result:
D's case was withdrawn! 🎉 He was able to finally go to rehab
Mission complete! We happily transported a very relieved D to our men’s facility. Tonight, he gets a hot shower, a warm meal, and a comfortable bed. Most importantly, he finally has the environment he needs to focus on his journey to recovery. 🕊️✨
