Hair looks thicker after chemo, not because of a miracle lotion, but because your follicles restart in sync.
Normally, our hair grows in different phases at different times. After chemo, many follicles re-enter the growth (anagen) phase together. So instead of scattered strands, you get uniform regrowth all at once.
And it looks like it’s growing at lightning speed after chemo too, because you’re starting from nothing, even one centimetre feels dramatic. The hair can double in length very quickly.
It’s biology, not magic.
And you get to enjoy it without buying hair growth lotions.

The infamous ‘red devil’ sounds terrifying....
But with modern anti-nausea meds and good supportive care, side effects can be very manageable.

Yes, it’s powerful medicine and cytotoxic, but that’s exactly why it works. Powerful doesn’t always mean unbearable, often it just means effective.

Support people with cancer, don’t overwhelm them with “what I would do” opinions when their decisions require evidence, medical guidance, and space.

Side effects are real, but research shows that expectations and mindset can influence how intensely they’re experienced. Acknowledging them without letting fear take over can help people navigate treatment more smoothly.

My experience with radiation was shaped far more by the fear beforehand than by the side effects afterward. Misinformation and fear-mongering can make treatment feel terrifying long before it begins and often don’t reflect the reality of modern radiation medicine. Modern medicine deserves more honesty and less panic.

It’s about showing up.
Trusting skilled hands.
Building real relationships.
And making decisions grounded in care, science, and lived reality.
Choosing evidence is choosing to live.

Mindset can support your wellbeing, not replace actual treatment.
Let’s empower people with truth, not magical thinking.

People in remission already carry enough quiet worry.
They don’t need strangers online predicting their future.
Chemo and radiation remain the treatments that actually improve survival. Natural remedies can support wellbeing, but they don’t replace evidence-based care.
If someone uses fear to sell a product or “protocol,” that isn’t wellness, it’s exploitation.
Let’s protect patients from misinformation, not profit from it.

Let’s be real, the wellness industry thrives on keeping you anxious enough to buy the next “natural cure.”
Modern chemo and radiation are far more tolerable than most people think.
Yet patients walk in terrified of the misinformation around these life saving medicines.
Side effects of treatment can be managed.
The side effect of not doing treatment? A life cut short.
