The World Health Organization released the Global Tuberculosis Report 2025https://sahivsoc.org/Files/9789240116924-eng.pdf yesterday. Globally, TB remains one of the top infectious killers, with an estimated 10.7 million new cases and 1.23 million deaths in 2024, but early signs of recovery are emerging post-COVID.

Worldwide progress is uneven, and most regions remain off-track for the 2025 End TB milestones, with major gaps in prevention, diagnosis, and funding.
