Throughout my life I have always had more interest in the health conditions that affect me. I don't know if that's a me thing, or a human thing.

When I was young my only problem with me, in my opinion, was my vision. I wanted to become involved in eyecare, since that was my deficiency.

As I grew older and started wearing contact lenses, I experienced dry eye. It became a personal challenge for me to learn about the ins and outs of dry eye and what I could tweak in my lifestyle to enhance my eye comfort. Using my research and clinical experience as a compass, I 'self-tested' a few opthalmologically approved products and tools that may benefit my own condition.

Some may say it's a self centered approach. I feel I am able to empathize better with conditions that I have found struggle and difficulty with. This gives me a nuanced approach to care for my patients better.

This is where my 'special interest' landed and is one of the driving factors to opening Optical Supply Store. I aim to be an easy resource for all things related to dry eye management, especially with regards to home management or prevention.
