From 28 Oct – 2 Nov 2025, OUT LGBT Well-being hosted the Building Bridges Exchange Visit — connecting activists, community orgs, and municipal leaders from South Africa 🇿🇦 and Germany 🇩🇪 to strengthen LGBTIQ+ inclusion and public health.

Together with partners like The Other Foundation, City of Gqeberha, and Municipality of Braunschweig, we explored ways to make cities more inclusive and supportive for LGBTIQ+ communities.

Highlights included the Eastern Cape Premier’s pledge to establish four gender-affirming clinics and plans for a five-year Gqeberha–Braunschweig exchange programme!

Thank you to all our amazing partners and delegates for making this collaboration a success. 💪🏽

🌈OUT on Air🎤 - OUT LGBT Well-Being's own Sive Mjindi recently joined ’s “On The Talk” to discuss the ongoing barriers LGBTQIA+ people face in accessing quality, stigma-free sexual health services in South Africa.
For many in our community, cost of health, fear of discrimination, and a lack of affirming care still stand between them and the services they deserve. Through programs like OUT Yeoville's to Care, OUT continues to bridge this gap — providing linkage to the Gauteng Health Department and maintaining dignity, respect and access to healthcare for all.
We’re proud to see voices like Sive’s representing our mission to make South Africa’s public health system more inclusive, compassionate and evidence based.

This time, we switched up the braai for breakfast, board games & brave conversations! 🍳☕
Our Yeoville brothers came together to connect, laugh, and learn through “Be Well” talks on disclosure, coming out, and continuing treatment — because wellness isn’t just physical, it’s emotional and communal too. 💜

Every shared story, every laugh, every win at the game table reminds us what brotherhood and community care are all about. 🙌🏾

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up and showed love — you keep the spirit of alive!

Pride is power 🌈💪🏾

Big thanks to Pride& for having OUT LGBT Well-Being celebrate love, wellness & community at this year’s Pride! 🏳️‍🌈

Visibility saves lives — let’s keep showing up for each other 💜

Community, connection, and care — all in one braai this Month! 💪🏾

Our Yeoville clinic brought together LGBTQ+ brothers and allies to bond, share, and celebrate wellness. From laughter to learning, it was more than a braai — it was about mental health, harm reduction, HIV prevention, and community support. 🌈

Because wellness starts with belonging. 💖
