Most people don’t look for God -
they call Him only when everything collapses.
When life is easy, God is ignored.
When money flows, health is stable, and plans work out, God is “not needed”.
But the moment crisis hits —
illness, fear, loss, despair —
suddenly people remember His name.
The Bible speaks clearly about this:
“In their distress they cried out to the Lord, and He heard them.”
(Psalm 107:6)
Yes — God hears.
God helps.
God saves.
But Scripture is just as clear about something else:
God is not only a rescuer.
God is also Judge.
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.”
(Galatians 6:7)
God is not a spiritual emergency button.
He is not a service you call only when everything else fails.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
(Proverbs 9:10)
A life built on lies, deception, arrogance, betrayal and instability does not please God.
“The Lord detests lying lips.”
(Proverbs 12:22)
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.”
(Isaiah 5:20)
God is patient — but He is not blind.
God is merciful — but He is not naive.
“It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
(Hebrews 10:31)
The question is not:
“Will God help me when I am desperate?”
The real question is:
How do I live when I am not desperate?
Because God does not want to be used.
He wants to be honored.
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”
(Matthew 6:33)
Not only in crisis.
Not only in fear.
But in truth.
In humility.
In obedience.
God is not only Savior.
God is also Lord.
And that changes everything.
