Cradle Cracker 1 March 2026 held at the magnificent Cradle of Humankind was an absolute cracker of a morning!
Run Walk For Life Lonehill arrived in full Lumo elegance, lighting up the route before the sun had properly risen.
The enthusiasm of these incredible ladies had been building for weeks, and when race day finally arrived, the energy was electric. Smiles, determination, and a whole lot of heart carried them through every kilometre

Valentines celebrations in the park, lots of jolly red fun and then a scrumptious breakfast to end the morning.
The sun showed up just in time, adding a little sparkle to all the red outfits and cheerful faces. There was plenty of laughter, a few Valentine’s jokes, and lots of happy chatter as we enjoyed the fresh air together.
We got moving and completed a solid walk session of at least 5kms earning every bite that followed! It was the perfect way to start the day, with fresh air, good company, and a little healthy challenge.
Then it was time to relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast ❤️

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than Lonehill Park. Being immersed in nature and watching the sunrise as we begin our session makes every morning feel inspiring and uplifting.

Run/Walk For Life members exercise in supervised groups of similar ability, meaning that you will not find yourself being pushed too hard, or battling to keep up with members who are fitter than you. Similarly, you will not spend your exercise sessions having to wait for members who are slower than you – you will exercise with a group of members who have similar fitness levels and abilities to yours. Personal supervision allows Run/Walk For Life members to exercise in a safe and social environment. Run/Walk for Life welcomes both pro athletes and novices and inspires them to reach their specific goals.
