🚨 URGENT APPEAL: Help Us Keep Frederic Place Home for the Aged Open

Dear families, partners and community — Frederic Place is facing an immediate financial crisis. Unless emergency support is secured, we may be forced into an orderly closure to protect the dignity and safety of our residents.

We urgently need R50,000 to cover November, with further shortfalls in December and January until the government subsidy arrives at end-January 2026.

We are thrilled to share a beautiful new addition to our Home, a vegetable tunnel, generously donated to our old age home by Absa South Africa. This small yet powerful gift is not just a source of fresh produce, but a symbol of renewal and sustainability in our lives.

The vegetable tunnel will provide us with the ability to grow our own vegetables year-round, helping us to reduce our reliance on external sources and become more self-sufficient. In a world that often feels uncertain, this simple act of planting and nurturing will bring both practical and emotional nourishment to our residents.

But beyond its practical use, the seedlings we plant today hold a deeper meaning. Each tiny seed is a reminder that life, even in its later stages, is always full of new beginnings. Just as a seed needs care, time, and patience to grow into something beautiful, so too do we—continuously learning, evolving, and finding joy in the simple acts of creation and care.

This vegetable tunnel represents not just sustainability for our future, but hope. It is a promise that, like the plants we cultivate, we too can continue to grow, thrive, and contribute in meaningful ways to the world around us.

We look forward to watching these seedlings bloom and flourish—just as we continue to bloom in life. 🌿🌼
