After two years of courses, lots of reading and doing assessments, writing of protocols, collaborating with colleagues and submitting treatment videos, I have the paper - officially certified as a ASI therapist and acknowledged by the International Council of Education in Ayres Sensory Integration.

It is so easy to focus on the negative aspects of our children’s characteristics and see it as weaknesses. Lets embrace the positive side of it as well.

My heart goes out to all the parents who have kids at home and still need to work. This is a difficult time with schools and aftercare closing. The risk is to have kids in front of screens for most of the time.
Try and make some time for them to play as well .
If children are bored it is an opportunity to develop their creative thinking and problem solving skills - something that is often being neglected in this technological age.
Play is crucial for psychological development and understanding their feelings. Especially in uncertain times like these.
🎈Give them some blankets or sheets te build a hide out under the table
🎈Blow up a balloon and let them see how long they can keep it up in the air.
🎈See what they can do with an old cardboard box and some crayons
🎈Playdough is amazing to spark creativity and develop fine motor skills
🎈Give them some paperclips or clothes pegs to connect

Or just let them play🤸🏾🤗
