Pure Soap

Pure Soap Pure Soap is glycerine soap in its purest form. Pure Soap is colour, fragrance and preservative free. The result is soap and glycerine.

Furthermore, it contains no un-reacted caustic soda, only un-reacted fats. This ensures that Pure Soap is very gentle and is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. To make soap, fats of either vegetable of animal origin are mixed with caustic soda (also known as lye). In order to make a normal soap, as compared to a glycerine soap, there has to be unreacted caustic soda in the bar. When making glycerine soap, the glycerine is left in the formula and there is no unreacted caustic soda, but unreacted fats. If unreacted caustic soda is left in the soap it reacts with the skin''''s natural oils making more soap - this dries the skin out. High quality glycerine soaps, such as Pure Soap, with unreacted fats do not strip the skin of its natural oils.
