Tannie Poppie van Kokkedoor se heerlike Hoender Worsrolletjies

Bestanddele: Deeg
250 g botter of margarien in blokkies gesny
125 ml kookwater
500 ml koekmeelblom
2 ml sout
2 ml kremetart

Bestanddele: Vulsel
30 ml botter of margarien
100g sampioene, fyngesny
1 knoffelhuisie, fyngedruk
15 ml koekmeelblom
100ml hoenderaftreksel
25 ml sjerrie
100ml room
500 g gaar hoender, fyngesny
Sout en peper na smaak
‘n bietjie melk
1 eier, geklits
Hoenderspeserye na smaak.

Berei die deeg:
1. Meng die botter of margarien en die water saam
2. Sif die koekmeelblom en voeg die sout en kremetart by.
3. Voeg by die bottermengsel en meng goed.
4. Vorm ‘n bal, bedek met kleefplastiek en plaas minstens 1 uur lank in die yskas

Berei die vulsel:
1. Voorverhit die oond tot 200℃
2. Verhit die botter of margarien en braai die sampioene en knoffel saam.
3. Voeg die koekmeelblom by en meng goed
4. Gooi die aftreksel en sjerrie by en laat kook 1 minuut lank.
5. Roer die room en hoenderstukke by.
6. Geur met sout en peper en laat afkoel.
7. Rol die deeg uit tot 5 mm d**k
8. Sny die deegsirkel uit en skep sowat 5 ml vleis daaop. Smeer die deegrand met ‘n bietjie melk
9. Sny nog ‘n deegsirkel uit, bedek onderste sirkel en druk reg rondom met jou duim vas. Herhaal tot daar 24 worsrolletjies is en sny ‘n gleufie in elkeen sodat die stoom kan ontsnap.
10. Plaas in ‘n gesmeerde bakplaat.
11. Verf van die eier oor, strooi hoenderspesery oor en bak 30 min lank.

Tannie Poppie: Ek gebruik ‘n maklike warmwater-pasteideeg en gaar hoendervleis om hierdie worsrolletjies te maak.

KVK 's Homemade Pizza



DOUGH:
1 (.25 ounce) envelope active dry yeast
1 cup lukewarm water
3 cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening

SAUCE:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
½ cup chopped onion
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
6 fluid ounces water
½ teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon dried marjoram
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon chili powder
⅛ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Directions
Step 1
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.

Step 2
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt and shortening. Stir in the yeast mixture. When the dough has pulled together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes. Lightly oil a large bowl, place the dough in the bowl, and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 45 minutes.

Step 3
Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion until tender. Stir in tomato paste and water. Season with sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, basil, oregano, marjoram, cumin, chili powder and red pepper flakes. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 4
Recipe makes 2 (12 inch) pizzas. Divide dough in half, and spread onto pizza pans. Cover with sauce, and desired toppings. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
