🎨 From Vision to Impact
What started as a big task—painting walls and ceilings, installing 48 curtain rails, and hanging 96 curtain drops—became a powerful journey of teamwork and transformation. With careful planning and coordination with Helen Bishop Home, we stayed on track and even went beyond our original scope: refreshing passages, staff rooms, the dining hall, and entrance hall, plus adding a vibrant new sign and branded vinyl to the windows.

💪 This project showed us how collaboration, commitment, and heart can turn a challenge into something truly meaningful.

💔 BREAKING: 3.5 Million South African Children with Disabilities Being Failed by Our Education System

It's National Children's Month, but there's nothing to celebrate.

Currently, as South Africa prepares to host the G20 Summit, our Education Departments in Gauteng, KZN, and the Eastern Cape are reducing educational rights for children with disabilities.

😢 The heartbreaking truth:

Thousands of children with disabilities have NO access to education
Schools lack basic dignity and proper learning conditions

Parents are constantly fighting just to get their kids into school
Very few mainstream schools will accept learners with disabilities

The National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) is calling on President Ramaphosa and the National Education Department to ACT NOW.

Why is this happening?
✗ Teachers aren't trained in inclusive education
✗ No assistive devices available
✗ Schools aren't physically accessible
✗ Classes are overcrowded
✗ Negative attitudes toward disability persist

We have policies (White Paper 6, 2001), but ZERO real implementation.

EVERY CHILD DESERVES AN EDUCATION. PERIOD.

The NCPD is also fighting for Disability-20 (D20) to be formally recognized under G20—just like other engagement groups.
