Butters are my favorite conditioners and sealants there are a few butters available out there so we have choices she butter being the most common is an all rounder from root to tip it works depending what is added to the raw butter.

mango butter is softer and great for lotions, Mango butter is a fantastic natural moisturizer for hair. Use it sparingly to add shine and lock in moisture without weighing your hair down

coco butter is harder but gives longer lasting barrier which makes for a great sealant.

Kokum butter is great if you want a medium to light butter that melts easily great for softer curls and mafura butter is light and fast absorption great alternative if you want the benefits of a butter but prefer the feel of an oil.

Our premium hair butter contains three different butters to get all their benefits and that perfect texture get it here: https://smpl.is/86ubf

Regular scalp massages with natural oils improve blood circulation, promoting healthier hair growth and moisture retention.

Best practice when you want growth is to massage and general stress relieve is to massage your scalp at least 4min per day and if you want to take it a step further using the inversion method. (don't invert your head if you have blood pressure issues & dizziness.)

Aloe vera gel is not only soothing but also great for sealing moisture in your hair. Apply a small amount to your hair after your leave-in conditioner.

I put Aloe powder in my henna mask together with other moisture retaining ingredients and other detangling agents so as the henna can do it's job without your hair feeling dried out.

Honey, glycerin and hyaluronic acid are great natural humectants, drawing moisture into your hair from the atmosphere.

Try a floral water spray such as lavender, rosemary, rose etc for a quick hydration boost and to keep your protective style smelling great and fresh throughout!

Our dry climate might work against you when using humectants so I recommend getting a humidifier for the rooms you are in most of the time. If that humectant cant find moisture it will work against and not for you.

Satin or silk pillowcases and hair wraps reduce friction and prevent moisture loss while you sleep. Wake up with soft, hydrated curls!

Personally and for my mother who has very dry hair I use a plastic shower cap and night and scarf to hold it in place this is called the green house method. Basically the heat from your scalp produces steam from the products allied and the hair loves it, drinks it all up.

You get deeper pe*******on and you wake up with soft supple hair that is easy to comb or detangle the next morning.

I recommend apply your highest quality most potent and natural product for this as it will pe*****te deep and you don't want gunk when using this method.
here is my recommendation: https://smpl.is/85481 use this with spray when you want a bit of steam.

Natural oils like avocado oil and Grapeseed oil, Black castor oil, olive oil, coconut oil are excellent for sealing moisture in your hair. Apply a small amount to your ends to prevent dryness.

I encourage everyone to experiment find what works best for you cause no two people are alike e.g My daughters hair loves castor oil it drinks it up and seals her end wonderfully but for me sheabutter works a lot better my hair responds better with butters compared to oils.

I recommend our hair growth oil here it is infused with rosemary, peppermint, oilve oil, Moringa, black castor oil and more to help stimulate growth and nourish the scalp. Find it here: https://smpl.is/85432

The LOC method: Liquid, Oil, Cream. Spritz hair with water, seal in moisture with oil, and lock it with a creamy moisturizer. Perfect for retaining moisture!

If this way doesn't quite do the job right switch it around to the LCO method, I find this works better for my daughter and I.

Personally I use a water based spray like rose water, aloe-vera or rosemary with glycerin. Follow that up with sheabutter and my oil mix there some extras you can add like flex seed gel to give you a sleek finish but this method come through every time.

My personal favorite protective style is twists, they hold moisture less break on take down compared to braids and require less money to install win win.

I have noticed I am able to retain more growth this way on mine and my daughters hair as opposed to braiding.

I always say just like your face has a three step process so does the hair.

1.Wash
2. Deep condition
3. scalp oil
4. Moisture spray for strands
5. Butter or oil to seal.

This is the basics if you need more moisture I advice to add on flaxseed gel ad look more deeply into what is the 2nd 0r 3rd ingredient in your spray and oils some oils work better then other in attracting and maintaining moisture.

I highly recommend this butter, it is pricey because everything good has been added to it very effective and very nourishing

Save this post for the steps and to add to this.

One must make sure to use quality products that work especially for moisture retention naturally as possible too cause the more chemicals the more drying they will be in the long run it might feel good for a while but the long term effect is dryness from deep within the hair shaft.

Order a tester kit to see how our products work!

My go to pre-wash treatment is simple but very effective.
Honey mix with some olive oil.

Apply this to hair before bedtime put on a plastic cap and bonnet over that, this will create a moisture lock for your hair and shampoo as usual the next morning.

Honey makes an amazing natural hair conditioner because its moisturizing properties soften, detangle, and smooth the hair

You wont believe how soft and supple the hair will feel even after shampooing instead of dry and brittle.😉
