What a powerful example of faith in action by Police for Christ. Unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, these brothers in Christ chose obedience over words - restoring dignity by ensuring young boys received shoes so they could return to school. Scripture reminds us that we will know a tree by its fruit, and this is clear, good fruit. This is Christ-centred service in action and leadership South Africa can follow. Well done, brothers in Christ πβοΈππ
A mother stood outside the school gate in tears. Her two young boys were sent home because they didn't have uniform shoes. She had no money and no plan B.
She thought the police officers approaching her were there to cause trouble.
In Phoenix, Durban, two SAPS officers, Sgt. Gonaseelan and Constable Maharaj, didn't write a ticketβthey wrote a check. They drove the family to a shop and bought brand-new school shoes for the boys, ensuring they walked into class with their heads held high.
Do you think we see enough "good news" stories about our police?
May God bless these two police officers reaching out to their community.
