Suzette Weideman assists with a variety of issues and challenges with individuals older than 18 or in family groups.
She is based in Monument, Gauteng at the InPsyght Centre. She is also available at her rooms in Hekpoort. Have you reached that point where things just got too much? Have you been the victim of a traumatic experience, are you going through a personal crisis or a relationship struggle? In times of need we often reach out to those nearest and dearest for help, advice or clarity. In some cases, however, we need someone objective and experienced to assist in gaining insight and regaining balance. A therapist is a professional who has been trained to do just that. During the time of emotional turmoil, seeking for the right therapist might be very challenging as you might feel desperate, confused and have many questions running through your mind. Read my website to find out more about myself and my method of practice and make an appointment so we can chat through your challenges and how I can assist you.

EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION
Probably one of the most challenging concepts to deal with in human behaviour and interaction, Executive Dysfunction is more common than we can conceive. This hidden challenge is often associated with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), but is a common result of Traumatic Brain Injuries.

We need to make sure that we offer children the right support when it comes to filling there online appetite. Sometimes that support is making sure some content is not on the menu at all.
Squid Game has just topped the charts as Netflixâ most viewed show with over 111 million viewers in less than a month. With an age restriction of 15+ on Netflix, Squid Game is clearly not suitable for younger viewers.
That being said, we know that many 12-year-olds are binge watching the whole series with or without their parentâs permission. And if they havenât watched it, their friends are talking about it, Squid Game is surfacing in Roblox and some schools have even reported young kids re-enacting Squid Game scenes on the playground. Itâs EVERYWHERE.
What concerns us is exposure to this level of violence can create a detachment to very serious issues before our children have had life experience. The very last thing we want for our children is to be indifferent. By normalising this type of violence, Squid Game has the potential to build the capacity in our children to simply be indifferent.
2. If your kids are younger and you donât want them watching it, Netflix has some pretty comprehensive parental controls. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the blog (or check out our Instagram post if you prefer visual instructions - https://www.instagram.com/klikdsa/). That being said, even if your younger child doesnât watch it, its very likely that his/her friends are talking about it, or they have come across Squid Game inspired video games, Roblox and so much more.

How do you define a healthy relationship?
What makes a romantic partnership satisfying and exciting?
Could it be nervous system regulation?
Generally speaking, the more well regulated two partners are, the more likely their relationship is to succeed - each person can function on their own, but can also provide space for the other to release baggage.
However, all is not lost if one or both partners are dysregulated! When we know about the nervous system and understand how to work towards regulation, we can strengthen our relationships.
