Half of all kids in one major ADHD study saw their symptoms vanish — just by cutting sugar and junk food. 🍬🚫

Published in The Lancet, researchers found that within just five weeks, a clean, additive-free diet reduced ADHD symptoms by nearly 50%. When sugar and processed foods were reintroduced, the symptoms came roaring back.

Scientists now believe diet and screentime could be two of the biggest hidden drivers of modern ADHD — and that what we feed our kids might shape how their brains behave.

When it comes to food labels, don’t stop at calories and macros, flip it over and check the ingredients list. That’s where the real story is.

The fewer ultra-processed additives and the closer to whole foods, the better. Your body doesn’t just count numbers — it thrives on quality.

Teen athletes need more carbs and protein per kilogram of body weight than adults do. Make sure you include a well balanced plate.

Food Tips:
• Include whole foods that are nutrient-dense. Aim to prepare their food yourself.
• It is not just about meeting their energy demands. Don’t take the easy route out and rely on convenience and take away foods.
• Avoid processed and refined foods. These will slow down their recovery and compromise their long term health.
• Aim for 3 meals/day spaced at 5 hourly intervals.
• Include 3-4 snacks/day. These must be timed to ensure that your teen eats half an hour before they train as well as immediately after they train.
• Snacks are important to ensure that they meet the high demands of their training.
• Sometimes they might also need to snack during their training sessions
