There’s something special about sharing moments like these.
This past Saturday at Juana Maria Frail Aged Home, Shirley Lane resident Ken Saunders captured a few photos at the residents’ tea that we want to share with our Facebook community.

From shared smiles over a cup of tea to quiet moments of connection, each photograph tells a story of community, warmth, and togetherness. It was wonderful to see residents from the cottages, the main building, and frail care all coming together as one.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making the morning so memorable.

At the heart of every life well lived is love — and for Frikkie Andreas, family has always been at the centre of it all.

From his younger years to today, Frikkie’s story is one shaped by strong family bonds and meaningful connections. A devoted family man, he shares a close and special relationship with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren — something that is both heartwarming and inspiring to see.

At Juana Maria Frail Aged Home, Frikkie is much loved by all. His warmth and kindness are felt by everyone around him.

Then & Now: Eric Robinson

From proud traditions to a lifetime of kindness — Eric Robinson’s story is one to be admired.

His “then” photo captures a young Eric dressed smartly in traditional Scottish attire, a wonderful nod to heritage. Even then, there’s a quiet strength and presence about him — qualities that have clearly stood the test of time.

Today, Eric remains a pillar of the Shirley Lane community. Known for his generosity and warm nature, he is always ready with a friendly word and a helping hand. A true friend to all, Eric is deeply valued and much loved at Juana Maria Frail Aged Home.

A Beautiful Gift of Blooms to Brighten Our Home

Yesterday, Juana Maria Frail Aged Home was blessed with a truly beautiful gesture.

We received nine elegant white flower arrangements, kindly donated by Nauntons Guest House and Thandana Wedding Venue following a wedding they recently hosted.

These stunning arrangements have brightened our spaces and brought so much joy to our residents. It’s incredible how something as simple as flowers can lift spirits and create such a warm, uplifting atmosphere.

A heartfelt thank you for thinking of our home and sharing this beauty with us. Your kindness is truly appreciated.
