Why do we recommend a series of BSR sessions?
Body Stress Release (BSR) works by improving the communication between your brain and your body, helping restore natural function. But healing is a process—not a quick fix.
That’s why we follow these essential phases:
1. Intensive Phase (Essential):
Day 1, Day 4, (possibly Day 7) and Day 11
To address your immediate concerns—pain, tension, posture, or stress.
2. Subsequent Phase (Recommended):
Weekly or bi-weekly sessions
To help the body release deeper layers of stored tension.
3. Maintenance Phase (Ongoing):
Every 3–6 weeks
Because prevention is key—just like servicing your car, regular BSR supports long-term wellness.
Your body is designed to heal. Let’s support it consistently.
The effect of BSR is to improve the communication between the brain and the cells of the body, thereby assisting the body to restore normal function. Over the years we have observed how this is an ongoing process and thus the technique practices the following guidelines with regards to sessions:
Three Initial sessions are needed to experience the full benefit of BSR.
1) Intensive Phase – Essential / Required
Day 1, Day 4, (possibly Day 7) and Day 11
This is to address the immediate reason for attending BSR – Pain, discomfort, postural distortion, headaches, emotional stress etc.
2) Subsequent Phase - Recommended
Once every week or every second week (depending on individual case requirements)
This Phase is to continue unlocking stored tension / body stress at deeper levels as the body returns to an optimal state of well-being.
3) Maintenance Phase – Your commitment to your health and well-being
Once every 3 weeks, monthly or every 6 weeks
On-going health maintenance – Most people honour the principle of prevention when it comes to their car, ensuring that it is serviced on a regular basis. We would be wise to give our bodies the same consideration and attend regular sessions of BSR to assist the body in maintaining optimal health.
