Bullying hurts everyone, let’s talk about it 🎤
The recent bullying incident at Milnerton High School, where a Grade 10 learner was attacked by other learners with belts and sticks, is a painful reminder that bullying is not just part of growing up. It leaves deep emotional scars, for the child who is hurt, and for the one doing the hurting. 😭
It’s okay to speak up. It’s okay to ask for help. 💬
No one should feel unsafe, unseen, or unheard. Whether your child is being bullied, witnessing it, or struggling with anger, pressure, or regret, counselling can help them process what they feel and learn healthier ways to cope and connect.
As a Specialist Wellness Counsellor, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for learners and parents to:
✨ Talk openly about what happened
✨ Rebuild confidence and self-worth after bullying
✨ Learn empathy, emotional regulation, and respect
✨ Support both victims and bullies in healing and change
Schools, parents, and learners all play a part in creating safety. The Western Cape Education Department has confirmed that disciplinary processes are underway, but true change begins with conversation, compassion, and community.
💚 Let’s take a stand: Stop Bullying. Speak Up. Ask for Help. Healing happens when everyone is heard.
