The Intention
Reintroducing myself to this space feels like coming back home after a journey. In stepping back, I’ve reconnected with what I value most: strength in inner peace, genuine presence, and authentic connection. But most of all, a safe and brave space to have these. My hope moving forward is to show up here with more clarity, purpose, and truth. To those navigating their own seasons of change, to those who are in their eclipse a balance of shadow & light, know that you’re not alone, and your journey matters. Thank you for allowing me to share mine. I’m looking forward to growing together.

The Focus Now
The holiday seasons always brings a shift—celebrations, connections, and the joy of being present with loved ones. As an ambivert, it’s been both wonderful and a little draining, in the best way. This season of extra socializing, enjoying amazing food, and leaning into gratitude has been so nourishing. But now, as the new year has already begun, I’m reminded of the balance that comes with resetting.

Recharging has been showing up for me through slower mornings, guided sleep meditations, extra rest, less coffee and time spent immersed in current reads or series/ movies. Now as I step back into routine—whether it’s reigniting old habits or welcoming new ones—I’m embracing the patience it takes to transition. It’s not about immediate perfection; its not about perfection at all. It’s about dedication. it’s about showing up consistently. What is something so small that you can realistically commit to for yourself?

The Journey
I’ve come to see life’s challenges not as barriers, but as doorways to deeper awareness. The hardest moments have shaped me, tested me, and ultimately invited me to see myself more fully. Last year has taught me to embrace all parts of who I am—especially the shadow parts—with gentleness and without judgment. In doing so, I’ve relearned the power of acceptance and its ability to transform pain into growth. Everything is easier said than done, I know. When we are in the midst of the storm the last thing we want to hear or acknowledge that it is serving us to some degree. We don’t want to hear that no season lasts forever or it’s a doorway/platform to growth. We just want our experience validated. So I hope you do that for yourself.

The Pause
Over the last year, I’ve taken a step back from teaching (specifically group and in person) and thus posting on social media. I have continued to share inspiration on stories while I sat with questions. Life has a way of showing us when it’s time to pause, to reassess, and to reflect. For me, this break was about listening to that inner nudge—a reminder to turn inward and reconnect with myself before sharing outwardly again. Stepping away isn’t always easy, but sometimes it’s necessary for clarity, growth, and peace. Thank you for your patience while I’ve taken this time. I’m grateful to be here again, sharing this space with all of you, while still figuring it all out.

Here is to a new year, may it be blessed with your heart’s deepest desires and your souls dreams 🤍

🙏 Gratitude for Your Patience ✨
Dearest AsanaTribe Community,
We wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your patience and understanding during this time of transition. As AsanaTribe finds itself in a space of limbo, like a cocoon before the butterfly transformation, your unwavering support means the world to us.
While we navigate this period of uncertainty and transformation, we want you to know that we are still here for you. We remain committed to sharing inspiration, supporting your personal practice, and uplifting our community every step of the way.
To stay informed and connected with us throughout this journey, we encourage you to add to your alerts for posts and stories.
This way, you’ll be the first to know when we’re ready to unveil our new transformation.
Thank you once again for your patience, love, and support. Together, we’ll emerge from this cocoon stronger, wiser, and ready to spread our wings.
With gratitude and mad love,
Sabrina & The AsanaTribe Team

🍂In hues of amber, gold, and crimson bright,
Autumn emerged, a character in the land of light.
Leaves danced at its feet, whispers of change in the air,
A time of transition, of letting go with care.

Trials and tribulations tested Autumn’s resolve,
Yet it persisted, knowing its purpose would evolve.
Winter’s icy touch questioned its worth,
But Autumn stood tall, heralding renewal’s birth.

Spring greeted Autumn with curiosity and awe,
Witnessing life’s dance, renewal without flaw.
Summer embraced Autumn with warmth and delight,
Celebrating abundance, in the harvest’s light.

Through endless cycles, Autumn found its place,
A season of transformation, of nature’s grace.
Embracing its identity, with humility and pride,
In the eternal dance of life, Autumn stood by its side.🍂

Navigating change with patience, bravery, and compassion deeply influences our healing journey and leads us closer to our essential self. When we embrace change as a natural part of life, we release resistance and allow healing to unfold organically. Patience teaches us to trust in the timing of our growth, knowing that transformation takes time and unfolds at its own pace. Bravery empowers us to face challenges head-on, stepping outside our comfort zones to explore new possibilities and perspectives. Compassion fosters self-love and acceptance, enabling us to navigate change with grace and kindness toward ourselves and others. Ultimately, embracing change as an integral part of our healing journey opens the door to deeper self-awareness, inner peace, and alignment with our true essence.

Shadow work question: What fears or resistances arise when I think about embracing change in my life?

Light work question: How can I cultivate greater trust and surrender in the face of uncertainty, allowing change to unfold with grace and ease?

Life is a ceaseless dance of change, an ever-shifting flow where no two moments are identical. Just as the seasons transform the landscape with their unpredictable weather patterns, we, too, are in a perpetual state of evolution. Who we were yesterday is not who we are today, and who we are today will not be who we are tomorrow.

At Asanatribe, we celebrate the beauty of change in all its forms. It is through change that we heal, unlearn old patterns, and cultivate new understandings. Like a mountain standing firm amidst the shifting seasons, we strive to connect with the unchanging essence within us, even as we embrace the rapid fluctuations of life with grace and compassion.

Life is about change, sometimes it’s painful, sometimes it’s beautiful, but most of the time it’s both. - Kristin Kreuk

“Muchos Dias, Mes Amis”

This phrase from the character Moira in Sh*tts Creek had me erupting in laughter, and yet the source of amusement eludes me—perhaps it’s the sensation of everything hurtling at warp speed, and I’m attempting to catch my breath as my body nudges me into a moment of repose.

It’s been a while since I employed this expression, but I used to initiate every practice with the mantra: “If you listen to your body when it whispers, you will never have to hear it scream.” This serves as a poignant reminder, extending beyond our mat practice into the realms where the true practice resides—listening to the whispers, the nudges, the gut pulls, and taking each element as far as the day allows. Because, let’s face it, each day unfolds uniquely, regardless of the speed at which they seem to meld together.

In 2022, the focus was on cultivating a safe space—a haven to encounter oneself, to heal, move, and breathe through experiences with compassion, grace, and kindness. 2023 elevated this safe space into a brave one, where vulnerability is embraced wholeheartedly, allowing authenticity to flourish with an open and wild heart. The intention was for this energy to ripple outward, encouraging those in our circles to do the same.

Now, in 2024, it’s about action. When I say action, I don’t merely refer to the act of doing but the art of being—accepting, welcoming, and creating opportunities aligned with the desired essence of life.

In this moment of pure darkness, the emptiness of the new moon offers a clean, blank canvas where we can plant the seed of our intentions for the next six months.

What will you water and nurture to grow?

Sending love this season 🤍

To those in grief,
To the homesick hearts,
To the ones holding it all together,
To the mentally and physically drained,
To those working over the holidays,
To those celebrating with family and in solitude,
To those unable to celebrate,
To those anxious about the future,
To those replaying the past,
To those honoring wins big and small,
To those setting and creating boundaries,
To those surrounded by love and support, and to those who aren’t.

Gentle reminders:

• You’re allowed to step away for alone time when you need it.
• It’s okay to feel grief, sadness, or disappointment for lost experiences.
• You don’t have to force yourself into the festive ‘spirit.’
• It’s okay to set your own boundaries and say ‘no.’
• You don’t need to abandon your regular self-care habits and rituals.
• You’re allowed to indulge in your favorite holiday treats.

Sending love to all the parts of you that feel joy and bliss, confused and worried, in pain and in strength, parts that seek comfort and the parts that feel numb.

Take care and be kind to yourself 🤍
Mad love
Sabrina x
