SAVICinfo The vision of SAVIC is to improve the health of future generations by strengthening immunisation prog

SAVIC is a public-private-academic alliance between the NDoH, the vaccine industry, academic institutions and other stakeholders, with its activities undertaken in close collaboration with the NDoH, NESI, the WHO and its partners. SAVIC was established to strengthen collaborations between academics, the NDoH, the vaccine industry and other stakeholders, with the overall aim of supporting immunisation services. Although there are a number of players in the field of vaccines and immunisation, SAVIC has a unique aim of strengthening immunisation programmes by bridging the gap through cascading of up-to-date vaccine-related information to the community and operational-level staff with various innovative outreach programmes. Thus, SAVIC creates a platform whereby experts from universities, the NDoH and provincial departments of health, the vaccine industry, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and public-private partnerships interact in a joint effort to improve public health programmes concerning VPDs.

Prevention and control of measles outbreaks can only be achieved through vaccination. Caregivers and parents are advised to review their children’s vaccination records and ensure that they have received the measles vaccine.

The measles vaccine has saved more lives than any other vaccine in the past 50 years.

2 doses = 97% protection against the highly contagious disease.

🌍 Today is World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day! Cervical cancer has the potential to become the first cancer ever eliminated worldwide and we can achieve it with the right actions:
90% of girls fully vaccinated against HPV
70% of women screened regularly
90% of women with cervical disease receiving timely treatment.

By reaching these targets, set by the WHO, we can protect millions of women and girls and move closer to a future free from cervical cancer.

’s raise awareness.
’s advocate for access to vaccines, screening, and treatment for all.
, elimination is possible.

As we commemorate , let us remember that polio is a highly infectious viral disease that can cause paralysis and, in severe cases, even death.
World Polio Day serves as a reminder of our shared global mission to eradicate polio once and for all.

Let’s do our part to help end polio for good.

✅ The HPV awareness campaign was a huge success! HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) globally. It affects both men and women and can lead to several types of cancers, including:
* Cervical cancer (the most well-known)
* A**l cancer
* Pe**le cancer
* Throat (oropharyngeal) cancer
* Vaginal and vulvar cancers

There are over 100 types of HPV. Some types cause ge***al warts, while others are considered high-risk due to their link with cervical cancer.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the incredible partners who helped make this campaign a success.
