Thank you to the incredible team at iKhokha for hosting Khulisani for a jam-packed day of connection, reflection and celebration 🙌

Our exiting group of learners shared their journeys, from successes to challenges, offering valuable advice to the new group of learners who are just starting their businesses. The day also celebrated their achievements with handing over of completion certificates and special awards📜

The new group of learners were equipped with iKhokha flyer card machines, opening the door to new business opportunities and boosting their confidence to step into the market 💼

Well done to our Plant Production NQF Level 1 learners for successfully growing and harvesting healthy crops 🌽

This fresh produce was donated to a Howick church feeding programme, making all their hard work truly meaningful 🤝

Our learners applied their knowledge of soil science, irrigation and garden maintenance to nurture these crops from seedling to harvest.
Now it’s time for the next planting season… what should we grow next? 🌱

We were excited to welcome Mr. Philani Manqele from Value Logistics for a check-in with their sponsored learners 👋.

Our New Venture Creation learners kicked off the day with confident business presentations and updates from their practical host sites 💼
We then visited our Business Administration learners at schools and organisations, where they’re gaining real workplace experience and growing every day 📚

A heartfelt thank you for your continued support of Employability Vulindlela and our 2025 projects. It has been a productive and impactful year filled with meaningful change across our communities.

Together, we have assisted, supported, fed and uplifted vulnerable families, individuals and organizations. Some of this year’s highlights include:

📚 Supplying stationery and food to underprivileged children
♿ Providing a specialised wheelchair for a child in need
🏅 Donating sports equipment to a local school

🌈 Cedara Community Project Update!

The jungle gyms are officially IN, and the brand-new play area is ready for endless laughter, learning, and childhood memories for the Cedara community! 🛝✨

Our buildings are now complete too, and the entire site is truly coming together beautifully. Every step brings us closer to creating a safe, empowering space for children and families in the area. 💚

A special thank you goes to the Umngeni Municipality for approving the project and land use. Your support laid the foundation for everything else to fall into place. 🙏

Khulisani Academy stands with our community in raising awareness and speaking out against gender-based violence 💜🇿🇦

Together we stand for safety, dignity, and justice.

DON’T DROP THE CASE. DON’T DROP YOUR POWER.

Gender-based violence continues to tear at the fabric of our communities, and too many victims still feel pressured to withdraw cases out of fear, intimidation, or hopelessness. We cannot allow this to continue.

On Wednesday, 10 December, uMngeni Municipality will host a peaceful march to raise awareness and to stand with survivors,especially women, children, and people with disabilities, urging them not to drop charges of sexual assault or any form of abuse committed against them.
